DescriptionThis abstract work, a mind-puzzler, was created by Takabatake Jun, a printmaker, published author and illustrator. Takabatake graduated with an art degree from the Aichi University of Education near Nagoya, the city where he was born. He later became a professor at Tokai Women’s University in Kakamigahara, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

Takabatake has a special knack for capturing the essence of animals and expressing the feelings of various characters in humorous illustrations filled with motion. His works have been shown in exhibitions in Europe and the US. In addition to printmaking he has illustrated numerous books, including children books.
