Description(*Reinforcing Breastplate) This belongs to the breastplate. The neck and arm borders are unturned, but are file-roped. The holes of the breastplate are repeated, but are not threaded. There was once another vertical pair of holes above those for the lance-rest, but these are now lead-plugged. There is a large, heavy threaded stud riveted on the left side of the medial ridge, at the level of the uppermost hole opposite. This stud secured the reinforce or target, locked by a wing-nut. The side edges of the reinforce are crudely cut out at mid-height, further supporting the presence of some from of fastener to the backplate. There is a very narrow basal flange, like that of the breastplate, unturned and roped. There are silvered bands at the neck and arms, as on the breastplate, with an additional tapered band down the medial ridge.
