DescriptionFormerly black from the hammer. Low medial ridge on skull. Musket proofmark on skull. Skull and cheeks have lining rivets with remains of leathers. Cheeks probably both replaced, at different times.ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on April 20, 1928 from Theodore Offerman at York Galleries (NY). Given to the Museum on January 8, 1947.
