Label TextThe decoration of the high comb includes allegorical figures of Temperance (depicted as a woman with two water pitchers) and Prudence (a woman with a mirror and snake), both appropriate qualities for a powerful nobleman.ProvenanceCollection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
