DescriptionSteel. Shell-like as extends onto restored shoulder-blade. Obliquely cut out in slight arc above anterior armpit (this portion is a restoration). Except for cusp at each extremity, upper edge is straight & unfinished. Lower edge dips sharply to medial cusp over upper arm, then arches rearward & down, cusped along its posterior edge. Rear plate with divergent spray of 6 rippled flutes, each increasing arc from top to bottom, from slight medial ridge vertically from upper edge to basal mid-cusp over arm. Punched holes for articulating-leather rivets.ProvenanceRhodes Beshiklash his brother in Paris Louis R. Bachereau Bashford Dean Purchased by John W.
