DescriptionBlack & white, originally from an armor for infantry, owned by Carl Otto von Kienbusch, and shown in the 1911 loan exhibition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (pl. 20?). The armor is now in the Rhode Island School of Design.ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on September 28, 1928 from estate of Bashford Dean (Riverdale, NY), odd lot #3. Given to the Museum on January 8, 1947. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
