DescriptionSpiral of forged bronze flattened on inside, ridged on outer side. 2 outermost rings at either end are nearly square in section & decorated with groups about 0.05 cm. long of incised chevrons interspersed with smooth areas & central X. Each end ring terminates in small spiral. 3 groups of 3 inner rings are decorated with a dentate motif on ridges.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins from Kallai, Vienna, Austria, may 7, 1930. Given to the Armory December 26, 1946. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
