DescriptionBronze. Flat blade with concave edges, & cusped tip. Decorated on 1 face with 2 axial sets of double lines. Handle circular in section & slightly tapered to ends, decorated with turnings here. Chisel-shaped terminal.
ProvenanceAzeez Khayat (dealer), 366 Fifth Ave., N.Y. purchased by John W. Higgins from Anderson Galleries, N.Y., Sale 2257, April 11-12, 1928, Lot 405. Price paid for lot. Given to the Armory January 8, 1947. Purchased from Higgins Armory, June 2014.
