DescriptionCompact, crescentic hoof-shape, concave to body, with angular inwardly turned edges & pierced rounded terminals. At center, engraved with crowned royal cypher "GR" in ornate, vine-like script, from bases of which are flanking leaved fronds.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on January 4, 1929 from W. O. Oldman, London, England. Given to the Museum on January 8, 1947. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
