Description5 rows consisting of 150 small rectangular-shaped overlapping blackened steel plates. One plate engraved with 'tamga' of Ottoman arsenal. Rows linked with large riveted rings. Outer edges show evidence of once being attached to additional rows (holes & scattered riveted rings). Two buckles, about 4 inches apart, on 1 of outer rows.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on May 27, 1930 from Louis R. Bachereau, Paris, France. Given to the Museum on July 1, 1954. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
