DescriptionFlex is good. Finger lames have been lost on R gauntlet and half of L index finger. Thumbplates do not match each other: L is cruder and likely a replacement. Interior hammerwork of the R is less adept than the L, suggesting 2 different makers; execution of cuff decoration also differs slightly.ProvenanceCollection of Sir Henry Farnham Burke. Purchased by John W. Higgins on May 5, 1931 from Christie's (London, England), #59 in Sir Henry Farnham Burke Collection. Given to the Museum on December 15, 1931. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
