DescriptionAs preserved, consists of hoop-like pair of steel lames curved to body, nearly uniform in depth along plain, unturned edges. Lames dip slightly from ends toward center which is embossed with narrow medial rib, cusped above. Cusps are also found near ends of lames, above internal mounting holes for articulating leathers. Basal lame was riveted to that above with sliding-rivet on upper edge near ends; that of left is lost. These were apparently further articulated on leathers riveted to pair of holes near ends of basal edge of each. At least 1 lame is lost below.
