DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 208 cyanotypes on cream wove paper.Stephen Salisbury III (second from right) stands in his garden marking the visit of Davis Casares (third from right), his friend from the Yucatan whom he first met when they attended Harvard College in the early 1850s. Another close friend of the Salisbury, Susan Reed-Lawton, stands between two of Casares's sons, David (far left) and Primitivo. The man at the far right is Lyman Al Ely, a real0estate developer whose home at the corner of Salisbury Street and Humboldt Avenue was one of the earliest residences to be built on Salisbury land overlooking Institute Park.
