These three artists, along with Lee Krasner and Elaine de Kooning, represented the prominent faces of women within the Abstract Expressionist movement. Glinn grew up in Pittsburgh, then served in the Army from during World War II. Upon his return, he studied literature at Harvard, where he photographed for the Harvard Crimson.
