DescriptionProvince of Chikuzen: the "road in the sea" at Hakozaki. --GookinIn this bird's eye view we see "the road in the sea"- a narrow pine-covered peninsula jutting into the Genkai Sea at Hakata Bay in northern Kyushu. The torii gate on the right foregound marks an entrance to a Shinto shrine. The village of Hakozaki lies at the far end of the "sea-road." --Swinton
