DescriptionHalf-length portrait of Ohisa of the Takashima-ya tea-house, who is shown facing toward the left and holding in her hands an uchiwa (round fan) that bears the trade-mark of the house. That trade-mark, a conventionalized tsuta (ivy) leaf, appears also, upon the shoulders and sleeves ofthe gauze kimono that she wears.
