DescriptionHosoban.Label TextScene from an unidentified drama performed at the Ichimura theater, Edo in 1767, 1768 or 1769. Otani Hiroji III is shown in the role of Yosaku, and Ichiyama Shichizo as Koman, a woman depicted riding on a horse. It seems probable that these roles were taken in Nue shigeto sakiwake yusha, the kaomise play in which these actors came together at the Ichimura Theater, on the 21st day of the eleventh month, 1767. However only the title of the play, and not the names of the actors, is given in Nendaiki, and in Nihon Engekishi. Furthermore Ibara does not list Yosaku among the roles taken by Hiroji during the three years when Shichizo was in the company with him.
