DescriptionFlattened base, one wide ribbon handle that is quadruple-ribbed; wheel-tooled decorative lines in 5 groups around the body; slightly iridescent; rim folded down and up; addition of handle increases bottle's usefulness. Used for storing and shipping. Use of wheel-cut lines of this type of jug not popular until 2nd century in the Eastern provinces. Pale green glass (free blown). 1st-2nd century AD
