DescriptionSteel. Long quadrangular thrusting spike at base of which is pair of outwardly curving flattened hexagonal section blades squared at their ends. 10-sided conical socket with short langets secured to wooden staff of octagonal section with long conical steel butt cap having rounded swelling at its end.
ProvenancePurchased by the Museum at the Morosini sale#3986 (October 10-15, 1932) , American Art Association (NYC), lot #592. Paid $45 for lot #592 (including HAM#s 1789, 1790, 1791, 1792, 1793). Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
