DescriptionSteel. Long quadrangular thrusting spike arising from flat body on either side of which is an upwardly & outwardly curving flat blade stepped at ends drawn into strong quadrangular points; wings are sharpened forward and rear. Shoulders of these are rounded at tall conical 10-sided socket with pair of langets. Both faces of head at base of blades decorated with incised lines & punched decoration. Approximately 3 feet of original octagonal section wooden shaft; upper part studded with iron nails & on 1 flat below langet is carved letter 'I'. Approximately 2 feet of modern wood attached with scarf joint below.
