DescriptionTapering, wooden shaft with fluting on the lower half. Handgrip tapered front and back. Traces of red & white (?) polychromy, with darker color inside the flutes. Iron leaf-shaped spearhead with 3 langets extending to the handgrip. Langets bear remains of white-painted voluted decoration. Thick iron cylindrical butt cap.ProvenancePurchased by the Museum on June 5, 1930 from Ernst Schmidt, Munich, Germany.
