Description2-piece wood, sharply curved for blade, & with squared butt. Long slot at mouth, at back edge of blade. Long metal fittings. At mouth: slotted for back of blade for almost 2/3 of length with recesses for langets. Engraved & chased decoration, feathered borders with 2 "v"s joined at point in center. Opposite face identical, but not so carefully executed. Beneath this is band with suspension ring on each side. Mid section of scabbard covered in black leather sewn up center of 1 face, thread reinforced with looped metal wire. Very long drag with squared butt decorated as mouth.
