DescriptionTall thin quadrangular thrusting spike, at base of which is pair of flat, pointed lugs curving towards spike. Tall closed circular section socket without langets. Associated octagonal section wooden staff extending slightly to flat unshod butt. Remnants of gold-colored fabric tassel at base of head.
ProvenancePurchased by the Museum at the Morosini sale#3986 (October 10-15, 1932) , American Art Association (NYC), lot #592. Paid $45 for lot #592 (including HAM#s 1788, 1790, 1791, 1792, 1793). Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
