DescriptionOne piece of steel. Tall almond-shaped skull with short stalk at apex. Narrow brim with turned-under edge. Row of 14 small holes around lower edge of skull. Proper left rear on brim is cracked, patched from underside of brim. A hole at extreme rear of helmet on brim. Partially struck mark at front of brim. Surface of helmet has a bright polished finish.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins in 1926 from Fenton & Sons (London). Price paid: $12.24. Given to the Armory on 8 January 1947. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
