DescriptionHeavy steel of proof, very pigeon-breasted, with bullet dent at mid-height, left breast. Outwardly curved along vertically centered medial ridge. Strong outward flanged turns at neck & arms; perimeter pierced with holes for attaching buff band as on WAM 2014.751. Mushroom-shaped studs on chest for shoulder straps, & necked stud & "L"-shaped hooks at waist to retain waiststrap. Curved basal flange. Plate has heavy file-marks, & probably was russeted or fire-blackened.
