MarkingsIndistinct, stamped circular mark ("C"?) below neck; opposite is another indistinct mark or letter. "1361" inside in white paint. Proof mark to right of medial line, just below mid-height.

DescriptionHeavy iron, repainted black. High-waisted, with slab sides, low medial ridge to narrow near-right angle basal flange. Short flanges at deep, rounded neck & arm openings. Pair of studs below shoulder level for backplate shoulder straps. Perimeter pierced with large holes for securing of thick leather border for lining (cf. WAM 2014.751, et al.). "L"-shaped hooks at side edges for holding waiststrap in place.
