DescriptionThe upright post, of hexagonal cross-section, flares at its base; below there is presumably a heavy spike, which at present is affixed into a modern wooden stump which serves as a base. The two beaks are long and relatively thin, both tapering to a point, one of a round cross-section, the other quadrangular.ProvenancePurchased by Museum from Silvermine Antique Shop (Norwalk, CT) on June 15, 1942.
