DescriptionIron. 5 lame nape defense. Repousse moon each side near top. Repousse waves near base. Kawari-kabuto, probably a ceremonial piece, with "wave and moon" motif worked into the skull. Crossed-feather mon on fukigaeshi. Mon are probably a darkened copper alloy. Fukigaeshi surfaced with gilt textured lacquer. Lacquered visor and skhikoro. Brass edging on visor. Seam ridge of skull is lacquered.
