DescriptionHead of X-shaped cross section. Shaft with spiral fluting at grip, with koftgari panels of volute scrolling above and below. Shaft hollow, head soldered to shaft. Flat cartouche-like tail bearing koftgari decoration and inscription.

The hollow shaft ratlles from something inside, sounds and feels like some kind of rod along the length of the shaft. This may be a deliberate feature; cf. WAM 2014.462.
