DescriptionTraditionally that of Duke Johann Philipp von Weimar (1597-1639). Part of a group consisting of WAM 2014.1136, 2014.960, and 2014.73.The armor consists of helmet and tilting target, both of which bolt to the breastplate; backplate; fauld waistplate, attaching to the breastplate by studs and sneck-hooks; tassets, attaching to the waistplate by buckles and straps; cuisses and poleyns, fitted with lacing tabs at the top and separating into two at mid-thigh; greaves and sabatons; pauldrons, attaching to the helmet with buckles at the shoulders; vambraces, fitted with lacing tabs at the top; and gauntlets.
