DescriptionSmall, symmetrical, of five lames each. Rounded form, cut out at armpit. Upper lame with modern buckle for collar leather. Edges rolled, roped. Upper edges of lames slightly mitered. Face of central lame with flattened stud, probably for the attachment of a besague via a slotted strap. Articulate on sliding rivets at posterior edge, and three internal leathers. Etched borders, strip down rear of central lame, flange at armpit rear; repeated S transversely along edge of lames.Provenance(Possibly) Herberstein family, Eggenberg Castle (possibly) M.
