Label Text[DOUBLE-CHECK] Yamashita Kinsaku II as Suke no Tsubone in "Yoshitsune senbon zakura" at the Morita Theater, Edo, in the fourth month of 1777 (An'ei 6). The actor is depicted standing at night in a room in a house by the sea at Dan no Ura. In her arms she holds a doll dressed to represent the young Emperor Antoku. The shoji are pushed aside and against the black sky two ships of the Taira fleet are seen on the horizon.On View
