Label TextSegawa Kikunojo II (1741-73) as Yao-ya Oshichi disguised as a street singer in "Fude tsubana Yaoya Oshichi" at the Ichimura-za in the third month of 1761 [must double-check with Kabuki nenpyo]. The fact that the design of the kimono includes love-letters and the character 'kichi' reinforces the fact that the disguised Oshichi is making her way to secretly meet her lover Kichisaburo. On View
