DescriptionPrint no. 62 of the series: "Famous Views of the Sixty-odd Provinces"
Label TextMorie Bay is a natural harbor sheltered by a long spit of land in eastern Kyushu Island. Among the trees, a tiny lighthouse sits at the fork in the beach. Hiroshige captures a scene of momentary transition; the changing colors of the horizon, a movement of a few figures, and the light on in the lighthouse signaling the change from day to night.
