DescriptionThis Colonial Revival rocking chair has a square back with a spinning wheel for a splat, showing eleven intact spindles. There are two spindles projecting from the top of the spinning wheel, attached through wooden bobbins. The rear stiles are joined to the seat rail, as are the arms and the spindles. All are turned. Two decorative attachments are joined to the top surface of the square seat rail, and the seat itself is also composed of a spinning wheel with a missing spindle. Four turned Baluster style legs end in two bends, all braced by a series of repaired stretchers.
