Three figures and a goat are gathered outside a village in the shade of colorful, vibrant, expressionistic trees. Their different gestures and poses suggest a discussion. The man with a mustache and turban, perhaps a laborer, is pointing to the goat. He stands next to a young woman dressed in red, perhaps a servant. The woman on the right is wearing a floral sari and is seated next to the goat-perhaps indications of greater wealth and status.
