Label TextMuchmore worked at Justin McCarty Dress Manufacturers, four blocks south of the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas. With her handheld 8 mm Keystone movie camera she filmed the President’s limousine in Dealy Plaza from the northwest corner of Main and Houston Streets. When the motorcade passed, Muchmore moved to Elm Street and continued filming. She captured the impact of the fatal bullet from a distance of about 138 feet. The Warren Commission, which later investigated the assassination, used Muchmore’s film to calculate the positions of limousine and sniper.ProvenanceFrom the collection of Stefan Lorant
