MarkingsAt the cusp of the decorative border, mid-upper breastplate is the figure of a classically armed warrior, astride the feet of which are the letters "PO---PEO", which appear to be another variant on the signature of Pompeo della Cesa (Chiesa). See photo in digital file.

DescriptionDeep, full-bellied peascod shape, dipping slighly below waist. Neck and armpit borders without gussets, inwardly rolled over a wire core, roped. Lower edge flanged, fitted with single removable skirt lame secured by turning pin at left and keyhole-shaped slot snapping over a peg on right. Skirt mounted with a set of three straps each (restored).
