DescriptionSteel. Thin, triangular, blade of diamond section, slightly hollow-ground with low medial rib on both faces. Integral socket of octagonal section, flaring slightly to base without langets.

Nailed to a modern wooden staff of circular section. At base of the head is a woolen tassel.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on April 14, 1930 from March Brown, Surrey, England. Given to the Museum on July 1, 1954.
