DescriptionSteel. Double edged thrusting blade of flattened lozenge section & tapering to point. At base of blade is pair of stout lugs curved towards staff, their ends pointed. Head screws into 2-stage octagonal socket with 3 raised moldings & pair of long langets, nailed to wooden staff of circular section without butt cap. Staff is probably restored or associated.
ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on September 28, 1929 from estate of Bashford Dean (Riverdale, NY). Given to the Museum on July 1, 1954 Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
