DescriptionSteel, rather poorly made. Small, rounded frame of flat stock, sides with punched dots, rough flutes & chisel marks. Top of frame formed as box for suspension strap, decorated to match. Circular, open tread plate of writhen stock, sides linked by pair of similar bars. Possibly for the right foot?
ProvenanceProbably Richard Zschille collection, see published references. Purchased by John W. Higgins on April 21, 1931 from H. Furmage, London, England. Given to the Museum on July 1, 1954. Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
