DescriptionConsists of mainplate, gussets, and waistlame. 4 holes for grandguard. Probably altered from an infantry breastplate. Hasps at waist and from backplate at shoulders.ProvenancePurchased by John W. Higgins on January 18, 1928 from Sir Joseph Duveen (NY), their no. 28258. Given to the Museum on March 21, 1928. This suit can be seen in a pre-1918 photo of the S. E. Kennedy collection in London (see Kennedy file). Collection transfer from Higgins Armory, January 2014.
