DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 208 cyanotypes on cream wove paper.This combination of pansies and ferns is one of numerous floral arrangements photographed by Coulson. The Salisbury greenhouses were filled with a wide variety of lfowers, including many rare species. Stephen Salisbury III, who owned the largest number of private greenhouses in Worcester, enjoyed giving flowers to visitors to his greenhouses as well as to organizations throughout the community. Like his father, he regularlary submitted arrangement of flowers, fruits and vegetables to exhibitions at the Worcester County Horticultural Society.
