DescriptionPhotograph from an album of 208 cyanotypes on cream wove paper.

Frederick Coulson was an accomplished athlete and enjoyed sports throughout his life. This cyanotype, made early in his career as a draftsman, shows Lake Quinsigamond, a favorite place for canoeing. It was on this lake that Frederick taught swimming at a summer camp run by the Worcester Natural History Society.
