DescriptionWood, carved cresting and stretcher and turned legs, caned seat and back, modern. Front parts of the front feet, originally "Spanish" in design, have been cut off. Owned by Dr. Thomas Gage, father of the donor, who received it from Mrs. John W. Wetherell (Hester Newton) whose great grandmother was Rebecca (Salisbury) Waldo, sister of Stephen Salisbury.
