DescriptionRemains of fastening for headdress on left side. No marks.Label TextThe head of this youthful goddess, probably Venus, was carved by a Roman artist working in the Greek style. Several ornaments were added to adorn her, such as earrings – note the holes in her ears. The back was left unfinished because it was not intended to be seen.
