DescriptionBleu lapis ground with 2 reserves, each containing 2 birds in flight (possibly polychrome thrushes). Each reserve surrounded by gilt palm leaves whose upper ends are linked by sprays of gilded flowers. Crossed L enclosing date letter A (1753), all below a latin cross for the painter Xrouet, (active 1750-1775). Incised mark:ProvenanceTheodore T. and Mary G. Ellis, Worcester, MA.
