DescriptionThe print depicts Arashi Tominosuke in an unidentified role as a courtesan standing in a room; the room is open on the side adjoining the engawa, beyond which a pine tree and bamboo is seen. In her left hand she holds a red lacquer sake cup. Her uchikake (overdress) has a pattern of ume (plum) blossoms upon clouds on a black ground.
