Label TextOn the day of President Kennedy’s visit to Dallas, Nix took his Keystone K-810 8 mm movie camera to the northwest corner of Main Street at Houston to film the motorcade. He was a Dallas air-conditioning engineer, who worked in a building on Dealey Plaza. When the limousine passed, he crossed to the south curb of Main Street. From that perspective he captured the last part of the assassination, with the grassy knoll in the background. However, Nix’s camera was loaded with indoor film, and had no filter, so it is darker than those of amateurs Zapruder and Muchmore.ProvenanceDavid DavisOn View
