DescriptionSteel in excavated condition. Tall triangular double edge thrusting blade of hollow ground with pronounced medial ridge on both faces, terminating in reinforced point. Shoulders of blade angled to socket of flattened hexagonal section at base of which is pair of acutely pointed flattened lugs, pierced with group of 3 holes at their bases. Lugs may be later replacements. Remainder of socket, quadranglar section with fragments of langets decorated with incised lines.

Attached to modern octagonal section wooden staff having 4 modern steel langets. Traces of copper, possibly decorative, on the socket.
